Investigating the Effect of Angle of Attack on the Aerodynamic Efficiency of a NACA 2412 Airfoil: A simulation-based study using AeroTunnel, with an evaluation of where the simulation agrees and disagrees

RESEARCH QUESTION
How does the angle of attack affect the lift-to-drag ratio of a NACA 2412 airfoil, and where does the AeroTunnel simulation agree or disagree with established aerodynamic behaviour?
Scientific background
Lift-to-drag ratio (L/D) measures how efficiently a wing makes lift. As the angle of attack rises, lift grows roughly linearly until the flow separates and the wing stalls, while drag keeps climbing, so L/D peaks at a moderate angle. The NACA 2412 is a cambered airfoil used on the Cessna 172.
